ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Jonas Holzapfel.
I am a 24-year-old graphic designer based in the beautiful countryside near Munich, currently working at FUNKE Digital.
I am passionate about the ways design can shape visual identities, as well as developing brand strategies with a focus on conceptual depth. I am always ready for a new challenge while staying true to the client’s vision.
At FUNKE Digital, I work across a variety of digital design tasks for brands and platforms such as Leckerschmecker, Kitchen Stories, 4P and WMN. My work includes creating visual concepts, redesigning entire brands, rethinking visual identities, refreshing existing layouts and formats, and producing digital content for social media and other digital channels. I enjoy exploring new creative approaches and finding the right balance between aesthetics, concept and functionality.
In my personal projects, I create my own digital world, constantly pushing creative boundaries. I mainly work with Blender, Adobe CC and TouchDesigner, tools I have spent a lot of time exploring and developing my skills in. I am constantly learning, experimenting and looking for new ways to bring my ideas to life, whether through 3D modelling, digital art or generative visuals. My visuals have been used several times for parties and raves, curating a unique and liberating atmosphere in the crowd.
I draw my inspiration from various artistic fields, including film, photography and music. However, my best ideas usually come to me in my dreams.
When I’m not sitting in front of my PC, I’m probably cooking some delicious Asian food while listening to my favorite artists. You can often find me at the bouldering gym with some friends of mine. My friends also sometimes serve as a great canvas for improving my tattooing skills. I also love petting my lovely cat and watching Twin Peaks on repeat.
